An Invitation to St. Barnabas
We are happy you’ve discovered our website and hope it will give you a sense of the community and an understanding of the activities that you will find at St. Barnabas. A website is no substitute for personal contact, so we hope you will join us for worship.
St. Barnabas recently called our 14th rector, Gareth Evans. He has an engaging preaching style and a lively approach to leading worship that is both reverent and spiritual.
Wherever you are on your personal journey of faith — whether just beginning, ready to explore, or coming back from a long absence — we welcome you. Through our worship, formation programs, social activities and community outreach opportunities we seek the face of God in one another, the presence of Jesus Christ in the sacraments, and exercise our spiritual gifts.
St. Barnabas is a village church, located at the top of Main Street in Irvington, that draws people from the village and nearby towns. Together, we learn about Christian faith and life in the beautiful words and music that are found in Holy Scripture, the Book of Common Prayer, and our Hymnal. Families are plentiful at St. Barnabas, and Christian Education for Children, Youth, and Adults is important to our community.
