DURING THE SUMMER, FROM JULY 2nd UNTIL SEPTEMBER 11th, THERE IS ONE SERVICE AT 9:00 A.M.
St. Barnabas holds two regular Sunday worship services - at 8 a.m. and at 10 a.m. The smaller, early service is held in the chapel and uses the Rite I order of service whose language is more formal. As a service without music, it is more contemplative and quiet. Families are drawn to the later service, when there is Sunday School (at 9:45), and the music of our magnificent pipe organ and the Canterbury Choir. Both services are heartfelt and joyful - intimately so at 8 and jubilantly so at 10. Nursery care is provided for infants and toddlers during the 10:00 a.m. service. Our sound system carries the service into the Lounge area (just outside the back door of the church, near the nursery) in case you need to leave the church temporarily to comfort a crying child or prefer to nurse your baby there. On several weekday Holy Days, a special Eucharist is celebrated in the chapel at 12:00 noon. Check the Calendar for those dates. |
