The Church of St. Barnabas: Its History and Windows
New Parish History available now

Welcome to the Church of
Saint Barnabas!

Welcome! The Church of St. Barnabas is a lively place, filled with families, lots of children, and single adults of all ages and walks of life. While most parishioners live in Irvington or surrounding communities of the lower Hudson Valley, many city dwellers also come to worship in our church, enjoying a picturesque view of the Palisades as they travel here by train or car. St. Barnabas is the kind of place that attracts people to stay for a while -  fully half of our congregation has attended for more than ten years. Known as a warm and welcoming community, St. Barnabas has inspired and comforted generations of worshipers.

We hope you will consider visiting us soon so that we may welcome you personally. If you would like to know more about us you may follow the links on this page, contact us by phone or e-mail, or join us this Sunday!

Mission Statement: The Church of St. Barnabas is a Christian community, grounded in the Episcopal tradition, which celebrates the love of Christ through regular worship, fellowship and music. Our goals are to grow in faith, both within ourselves as individuals and by welcoming others from a variety of backgrounds and stages of life, and to reach out and share God's abundant gifts with others.
