Welcome to St. Barnabas!
We are happy you’ve discovered our website and hope it will give you some sense of the community and the activities that you will find at St. Barnabas should you visit. However, a website is no substitute for personal contact, so we hope you will join us on Sunday for worship.
Nora Smith, our former rector, has been called to take on a job with the Diocese of New York and St. Barnabas is starting the search for a new rector. This will be a time of change and discovery for us, but St. Barnabas is a vibrant and engaged faith community and we welcome you to join our journey. We’re a village church, located at the top of Main Street in Irvington, that draws on people from many nearby villages to learn about the Christian faith and life in the beautiful words and music that are found Holy Scripture, the Book of Common Prayer, and in our Hymnals.
Families are plentiful here, and Christian Education for Children, Youth, and Adults is very important. Check out What to Expect to get a preview of a Sunday at. St. Barnabas. Wherever you are on your faith journey, whether just beginning or ready to explore, we strive to meet you there and help you find a place to experience God, encounter Jesus, and discover your spiritual gifts.
You are very welcome here.
