About St. Barnabas

For more than 150 years, the Church of St. Barnabas has served spiritual needs in Irvington, New York and the surrounding communities of the lower Hudson Valley. St. Barnabas comprises a diverse group of congregants. Its age range is wide. At its core is a group of families with young or school-age children. But there are significant numbers of older "empty nesters" and retirees, as well as many single adults. You'll also find long-time parishioners and, along-side, many newer members. We strive to make St. Barnabas a welcoming place to people of all races, ethnicities and sexual orientations. Our parish contains "cradle" Episcopalians, as well as many people who come from religious traditions other than Episcopalian, including Roman Catholicism and non-Christian belief systems such as Judaism and Buddhism. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, we invite you to join us. You'll be welcome here!
